Damiana Sarro, Primary Lead Guide

Damiana joined Clay-Platte in August of 2025 and serves as the Lead Guide in one of our Primary classrooms, working with children ages 3 to 6. She brings a strong Montessori foundation to our community, along with a deep respect for each child’s individual development and unique learning journey. Damiana is passionate about creating a calm, nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe to explore, take risks, and grow in confidence.

Outside the classroom, Damiana loves to read and is especially drawn to Montessori’s child-led approach to learning, where curiosity, independence, and intrinsic motivation guide each child’s growth. She values supporting children as they build foundational skills, develop a love of learning, and discover their own capabilities.

  • Primary certification, American Montessori Society (AMS)

  • Lower and Upper Elementary certification, North American Montessori Center (NAMC)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education from Kansas State University
